With the blessing of their old company, two former McCalla Raymer, LLC attorneys, Jennifer L. Dickenson and Monica K. Gilroy, opened the doors of a new residential and commercial real estate and litigation law firm, Dickenson Gilroy LLC, on May 1. While McCalla Raymer will continue to focus their efforts on their national business with an emphasis on foreclosure proceedings, Dickenson Gilroy will concentrate on real estate closings and litigation.
The firm opened with nine offices located throughout metro Atlanta. In addition to the two principals, the core group of 15 Dickenson Gilroy attorneys and 80 support staff all come from McCalla Raymer, LLC, an Atlanta-based firm that traces its roots in the area back for more than 100 years.
“Opening DG Law is a natural progression for us,” said Jennifer Dickenson. Making an interesting historical observation Ms. Dickenson noted that the senior leadership of their former firm transitioned from the old line Atlanta firm, Hansell Post, on May 1, 1982 – 25 years ago to the day. “Given our heritage, and the group of attorneys who joined DG Law, we truly see ourselves as being in the forefront of real estate and litigation law in metro Atlanta and Georgia from day one,” said Ms. Gilroy. “We bring our clients the same experience, service, and excellence that they have always appreciated.”
Attorneys joining Dickenson Gilroy include Peter G. Babcock, Deborah S. Bailey, Michael P. Barry, Heather A. Dognazzi, Gregory B. Grogan, Brian J. Harris, Suzanne E. Henry, Christopher R. Lane, Makia Metzger, Ashok Pavamani, Kenneth E. Raymer, Tania T. Trumble, Tracie G. Wynn, and of counsel’s Ike W. Cobb and Lyle D. Nichols, both founding partners of McCalla Raymer.
In addition to DG Law’s corporate office in Alpharetta, the firm’s other locations include Buckhead, East Cobb, Gwinnett, Marietta, Northlake, Peachtree City, Perimeter Center and Woodstock. DG Law also plans to open a Midtown Atlanta office this summer.
